We had a cat when I was growing up who loved stewed tomatoes. I couldn't understand it, because the stuff just grossed me out something awful. I gag just thinking about it. Hey, I should have put that on The Worst Stuff I Ever Ate thread, :-)

My cat likes chicken. She will eat it off your plate if you aren't watching.

I had a cat years ago that liked powered donuts and angel food cake, she would chew through the bag or cellophane. The other cat at that time, a black cat, loved pumpkin pie.

No, I don't believe any of my cats have done that, but one of my dogs ate an apple once. He also mangled 4 bananas some years back. He did not eat them, just wrecked so I could not eat them. Darn it.

One year I was growing tomoatoes that I was VERY proud of (my first ever atempt) and I couldnt work out why my tomoatoes that were almost going red were disappearing to. One day I happened to have a day off work and was in the kitchen looking out the window, and there is my dog, very gently picking the tomatoes off the plant and eating them. I was gobsmacked.
To this day, he loves tomatoes, if we have one in the fridge going a bit soft wegive to him and he chows it down like no tomorrow.

You never know about cats or dogs, they develop tastes for odd things. I had a cat that loved black olives and pistachios. The cat I have now loves mini marshmallows and angel food cake. She also likes syrup.
