It happens to us all and today is my day I guess. We took our brand new car, had it two weeks, to the local car wash. When we pulled out of the other end of the car wash there was about a 6 inch crack in the windshield. The manager said they have "washed 1 million cars and this never happened before". One million may be an stretch since we're in central Maine and I doubt there have been 2,000 in 10 years that go through there. The general manager of the shop is meeting us tomorrow to look at it.

I then got home, thought my quad cane felt fully and notice a little rubber foot was missing, have no idea how it came off.

Like I said, one of those days.

I would suspect that may be more due to a faulty windshield than the car wash perhaps...unless something really hit it hard. Maybe the dealer you bought the car from will come good on warrantee? Tomorrow will be a better day:>)

Sorry you are having one of those days.

I don't use those car washes because both outside mirrors were broken on my previous car. Noone else I know has had any problems, but the car I have now has the same kind of mirrors and I don't think I want to take another chance.

If the shop isn't going to help you, I would definitely talk to the dealer where you bought the car. A new windshield certainly shouldn't crack so soon.

Best of luck.
