Beautiful job...................you are certainly not a new comer except to that pattern maybe. I love to knit....just finished a Christmas stocking for our grand nephew. Santa popping out of the chimney complete with angora beard It is the 35th one that I've made..........all for family.

I'm amazed if you really are new at knitting! I've been knitting a long time and would not be able to face such a challenging project. They look great!

LOl, I read all the comments and I will try to answer lol. I know I live in Florida and I love to wear socks. These stocking that are thigh high are not hot. They are silk and wool out of the fingering yarn which is as good as lace really. they will keep you warm in winter and keep cool in the summer. I do knit socks all the time to wear with my jeans and tennis shoes. The knitted ones feel so good and I bet you would love them Jan.

These stockings were a huge challenge to me and I just had to do them lol. I have already started the other one and have finished quite a few rows already and it's going very well, all my edits are working. As soon as I finish, I will do a proper pattern and those who knit and would like to try it, I will do a pdf for them.
