Help - is this fabric safe for pillowcases?
I made a few pillowcases from basketball themed fabric - one for my son, and the rest for Million Pillowcase charity. I have just realised that the salvage has a warning that says - Do Not Use For Children's Sleepwear. If it is not safe for kids' PJs, how can it be safe for pillowcases. Maybe I should just turn them into cushion covers for my son's room. What do you think?

Kids sleepwear is supposed to be made of material treated with a chemical to make it safer for kids in event of a fire. That way, if there is a fire, they have a better opportunity of surviving and not being burned as the clothes catch fire. Alternatively, kids can wear snug fitting pajamas, which are not required to be treated. Since the kids will not be wearing the pillowcase to sleep in, the "pajama safe" standard does not apply.

Thank you all. I appreciate you thoughts and advice. I will use them for pillowcases. I love my kids very much, just like any mother, but sometimes I fear that we are hovering over them too much, almost like keeping themin bubble wrap. I did not grew up this way, and I had great childhood. I digress, thanks for the good advice, i appreciate it.
