I had gotten some blue gel ink on the arm of my couch slipcover. I had read several recommendations on how to get it out on this Board. So I started trying each one. I finally was able to get the spot down to a faded dime size. So I decided that was good enough. I put it in the washing machine and washed as normal. Then put it in the dryer. When I took it out of the dryer there were light purple spots all over it!
Can anyone help me? BTW, the slipcover is 100% cotton.

Once something is dried in a dryer, that sets the stains. Or at least that is what I have always been told. I would just dye it another color...and besides...you should change it to a different color and no one will ever know that you only changed the slip cover and it will look like you did something new in your living room.

Try putting hair spray on it, and then wash in cold water. I had a old pen stain on a shirt I had. Had been washed and ironed...etc...old stain. Someone said to put hairspray on it and I did. It came out. Worth a try.
