    Here is my Granddaugther sewing!

I taught my 9 yr. old Granddaugther how to make her first pillow case. She is a natural!! I told her for CHRISTmas I will get her a sewing machine. It will be fun for me to machine shop for her.

She looks so proud! Isn't it great that she'll have a skill she can use for a lifetime.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

Yes, she is my girl. I babysat her since she was born so we really have a very close bond. I am crazy about her and she knows it. She has a 4 1/2 yr. old brother and he wants to sew now too!

Lucky you! My granddaughter is 6, and I'm not sure if she has an inclination for sewing or not. She lives about 3 hours away, and doesn't get down this way often. I'd sure love to spend more time with her. Problem is, I work pretty much full time, so my going to visit her doesn't happen as often as I'd like to MAKE it happen.
When someone mentions quilting, I go to pieces!
