LOL! Which college has accepted this person?

    Doesn't cost a million to go to UT {that I know of}.

But shipping is free! Isn't that tempting?

If it's really "Grandma-made", I'm sure she's overjoyed that someone's flogging off her lovingly made quilt. But on the other hand if she receives half of the proceeds, I'm sure she wouldn't mind that much any more. :D

    Newbies.
He could have least included a "Best Offer" option.

He's got a nice sense of humor, and I'm sure it will attract the attention he wants (which was the goal in the first place).

I would think that there is a type or two of too many zeros. I can't believe that anyone would think they could get that kind of money from a quilt. I know that I read somewhere about one made in Australia I believe that went for over 800,000. But that one was different than this.

I'm with MTS, he just wants attention. Did any of you notice there was no "visitor counter" display? I'd like to know how many people have actually visited just to look.

All it takes is one bidder. Long before the internet a college kid placed a small classified in several upscale business magazines saying poor college student struggling, please send me just $1 to help me stay in college. The boy received over $2 million dollars and he did finish college.

At least they are offering something. On Ebay search bar type in "please help" and check out all the "auctions" where people are just begging for money. Against the rules but people do it anyway.

how sad that the parents didn't save the 1 million - 1.5 million needed to send their child to college ;)

That was a much smarter kid.

He realized it's easier to get someone to part with a buck than the impossibility of anyone spending $1.5mil on this listing.

Sort of like the trading a red paper clip and ending up with a house. ;-)

    Genius!

I don't know if he even went to college, but now, according to his CV, he is the world's foremost expert on trading red paperclips for houses.

How many of us can say that?

Asking so much is extreme, saying unsued amount will go to charity. So does that mean the student will get to deduct the extra on the income tax as a contribution? Seems like about at least an $800,000.00 contribution on the taxes. --- Seems this person is looking for a free ride and then some. Remember it is stated that any extra money will go to a charity of "my choice".
