Hot and humid here. 96 today with a heat index of 111. Good for my curly hair!

When I try to sew in this heat, I think about a quilt I saw in Alaska that took a woman several years to make. She named it to hot for menopause. Yep! I feel the same way

HOW HOT IS IT IN KENTUCKY?

A buddy of mine in Carlisle said he'd killed a mosquito that was carrying a canteen.

A man in Owensboro said the chicken farmers were giving the chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.

In Maysville someone caught a 20 lb catfish that had ticks on it!

But just this week, in Paris a fire hydrant was seen bribing a dog.

A cattle farmer in Midway had a 15 acre field of popcorn ready to harvest. He went to feed his cattle and the popcorn had popped in the field. The cattle, in the next field, thought it was snow and the whole herd froze to death.

It's so HOT in Kentucky that the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling, the Methodists are using wet-wipes, the Presbyterians are giving out rain-checks, and the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water.

NOW THAT'S HOT!

Been over 100 for so many days that I'm losing count. Last time I heard on the news was 52 days. Thankfully we have AC but the bill has eaten into my quilting fund. We are praying for rain as some local communities are already on water rationing.

Believe it or not, here in Louisville we have had temps in the high 90's with heat index reaching 115. I stay indoors most days.

Sorry you do not have AC. Over 100 all week here. My electric bill is going to be scary.

Hot in Arkansas. Need to finish machine quilting my grandsons twin sized quilt but can't get motivated to wrestle with it and be under most of it on my domestic machine. May put fan under it!!!

I heard that 40 states had temps over 90 -- I really feel for you because when we have those temperatures (it has been a couple of years ago now) we suffer.
