I wonder how many mug rug patterns we can round up, without duplicating any. They are usually quick and easy to make, and we could start on them through-out the year and have them ready for Christmas gifts.

Mug Rugs are so fun to make

saving links for all of us in my pages for mug rugs

http://www.quiltingboard.com/user_page.jsp?upnum=1692

(November 2011) Qbee from this quilting board came to my house Thursday - Saturday, we went to lots of quilt shops, quilt shop hops, and quilt cookie shop hop

Qbee taught me how to make the twister block with the twister ruler so I am making a mug rug, I still need to put backing on it and binding (I will make it reversible.

this is the tutorial to show you how to make one

That one is really pretty !! :-D
I have made a few, & have some fabrics picked out for more.
I work on them if I am waiting for a project to come in or just don't know what I want to work on. :-D

Cute mug rug......what size squares did you start with?
I have the lil' twister ruler (uses 5" sq.) and it would be too big for a mug rug.

Hi,
Here are a few mug rugs I made recently. Two of them were for swaps and one was for my Mother on Mother's Day. Sew cute, my Mom told me she had it on the arm rest of her recliner. Oh well, that made her happy! Which made me happy. :-D

Oh, I will be back. I have to go find the one I made for my Mom.

Mine are about 8" by 10". The top one I saw in a book someplace and sorta made my own idea of it. The second one is my all time favorite whimsical fabric. I used the elephants as my interest point and stippled the open area. Sew, no piecing involved!

I also have found a quick little project and nice Christmas gift is my little needle cases. I am thinking of doing a tutorial on it since they are my own pattern.

I did a needle case many years ago, it is similar to your, but I used felt inside. Looks something lik a boo when opened.
