I'm a snowbird and have been for 16 years. At first, we spent about 3 months in Tucson, the rest of the year in CT. Now we spend 6 months in each state. I've grown to love the desert - except that I really have to take care of my skin, because it's so dry. I'm a city girl in AZ - and love that everything is within a 5-10 minute drive, including 3 LQSs and my Pfaff dealer, who sponsors lots of classes every week and nationally-known teachers for Sit-N-Sews 4 or 5 times while I'm here. I'm in Quilters' Heaven!
I could see myself eventually living here year-round. The CT house (which I love dearly) has 2 stories; Tucson has 1 story. DH is having a harder and harder time with the stairs. Our corner of CT has Jo-Ann's but only 2 LQSs, and they're 15 and 30 minutes away. I guess I'm spoiled by Tucson to complain about that being a problem!

I was born and raised in southwestern Pa. I lived in southern Ca. for 22 years. I now live in Charleston SC and I love it...My daughter just sold her home in Buffalo and moved to SC. last week...She got tired of the cold...
