I was married to my first husband 17 years and separated for 5 years before filing my divorce.
I am not re-married but I have a boyfriend of 12 years now (the same boyfriend too..) Sadly my ex is on hospice care right now and it just depresses me because he does not have much time left to live anymore (advanced cancer with no treatment because doctor said it would worsen his condition).

married since 1972 to the same man, live on a farm. Love farm life, can be hectic, used to run all the machinery except the baler. that I refused to do. Now I work off the farm and drive, drive, drive for the Census Bureau.

I haven't read all the posts but DH and I will celebrate #43 on the 8th of March. Many good times and good memories. A very good night when we met on a blind date in '67.

Some days it feels like 43...but it is really only 10 1/2 years. Told him on our wedding day that we would celebrate our 50th together in 2050. His response: "Do you know how OLD we will be???" I'll be 90 he will be 88. That's doable don't you think? :)

Donna My DH & I will be celebrating our 43rd anniversary too on March 15th...we dated for almost 4 years before we got married too....I tell everyone we are joined at the hip..*L* we have been through some good times and bad times together...I was 15 and he was 18 when we met. I think we stayed together so long because we were so young and grew up together and raised eachother along the way..
Congratzzz to you and your DH. Any kids? We have 3 (2 DD's 37 & 35 and our baby boy will be 28 in May) our sad time was when our 1st son died at 3 days old...the sad times make you stronger and you pull closer together..

Loved reading all these posts--it makes me feel good to see all of these marriages lasting so long! We'll reach #54 this May and we're hoping for many, many more. He's quite a guy!
