Fifteen minutes will not cook a potato. Does it have to go back into the pot a bit longer? Quilt Fan

This is really great, I am going to try it the next time I want mashed potatoes or potato salad!
If you take the time to watch this, you will not only be glad you did, but you will forward this to all your daughters, sisters, moms, etc...
I haven't tried it yet, but I will! Just when you thought you knew everything about boiling potatoes ...

To all who love making potato salad but hate peeling the boiled potatoes, here is the solution for easy peeling. This will BLOW your mind. Well, we do learn something new every day.

I wish I had known about this thirty years ago. Peeling the cooked potato was the least desirable part in making a potato salad. Enjoy.

Don't remember where I heard about this, but it was back in the early '70's when my kids were little. Saves a lot of time; however, if you boil them too long the skins start to fall off & they can get mushy. If you don't cook them long enough, the inside of the potato can be hard to mash & it will be hard to make potato salad, unless you like it kinda lumpy. My kitchen timer is my best friend now. I live alone & getting forgetful I have gotten burned when leaning over a big pot too close or when the lid isn't all the way down. Steam burns can be bad.

Great tip! I must boil a potato tomorrow...

Otherwise I'm going to forget it....
If I do it once I might remember.

Thank you.

I will use this and see if it works as she said. If it does - what a way to get rid of that peeler.

Now I can make potatoes more often. No more cuts from the stupid peeler. Did I say I was a klutz? Thank you so much!
