We are suppose to be 100 and thensome with the index. Also rain this afternoon. And lots of smoke from the surrounding forest fires. I have COPD so beleive me I stay indoors. When I take my dogs out I wear a mask. Helps a little.It is so smokie.

Not sure *exactly* where you are ... but the storms that passed through Illinois this AM were very nasty and on their way to your neck of the woods.

Some of the roads I travel (Peotone Rd - "snow route" blacktop through farmland) were flooded out.

Day 147 without any appreciable rain - that's considered to be less than 1/2". WINDY, temps expected at or near 100, BUT rain is in the forecase this week and I BELIEVE it will get here because there are men out there right now tearing off my roof. All of it. Every speck.

Pacific NW had one of the coldest, rainy, cloudy years on record. Often Feb & April will have sunny days but not this year. Someone from an Alaska cruise ship said the only bad weather they hit was in Seattle. Today is sunny but weekend was constant drizzle. If you get sunshine, send warm sunny thoughts my way please. I should count my blessings-no tornados, no hurricanes, no droughts.

Hot, humid and extremely windy! Even tho the mean temps have been in the 90's, the heat index is triple digits. We've had a little rain but not enough to really help. Only thing growing here is weeds!
