when a baby is born something red is put under the baby's sleeping place. why?
did they need a patch on the underside of the mattress and red was the color they had?

Such a WONDERFUL story of human nature! I can't tell you how many times a week I think of the sage truth offered in the story! And, when I run into a group of people who say: "We have always done it that way" - - they don't like be challenged to try to understand WHY do you do it that way? LOL <wave> of course, I know whereof I speak! I am the "Why are you doing that" person!
