January at least! I hate crowds...I hate hustle and bustle. I want to go get what I need and get out...quickly. DD and I went out this today, had to pay on a layaway and get groceries. They didn't record my last payment so thought I had cancelled the layaway and put my stuff back out. I managed to find half of it...then I had to go to another store to refind the rest. grrr...that meant traffic and hustle and bustle and too many people! I did most of the shopping online this year and have enjoyed seeing my postman deliver things to me! So 45 minutes waiting in lawaway line, 30 minutes in that store looking for replacements, 30 minutes driving to another store (it wasn't that far but traffic was that bad) and yet more time shopping. I still had to go do the grocery shopping too!

I remember those days, now my kids are grown and gone I can get away with a few items under the tree and gift cards for Lowes and restaurants.

I love to shop but online seems to work really good for me this time of year. Otherwise I see too many grumpy people and I just can't figure out why they are grumpy....christmas is coming. :-)

Did all of mine online the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and within 4 days I had it all delivered. Easy way to shop, but it doesn't feel like Xmas to me unless I actually get out to a few stores. And nnow the weather is colder and we are suppose to get snow tonight, so won't be going tomorrow anyway. I still would like to pick up a few extras , all the kids were wanting expensive things this year, so it will be one gift each. NOT the way it usually is around here, and MOM is having a hard time accepting that. Usually the kids have three or four things to open. I wonder what they will think when they see so few under the tree. They aren"t greedy, but we don't really buy birthdays etc. anymore, so Xmas was always pretty big. I just wish I coud get in the mood for all of it, I just don't feel excited like I usually do.
