My sister moved back to my city from california! She bid on a fabulous forclosed house last week, won the bid and it closes in two weeks! I am beside myself with joy for her. Here is the best part ... It is ten minutes from me! Woo Hoo!

She has graciously given me the 18'x12' greenhouse on the property to grow in. I am a gardener too, and I just love it. I also love landscaping. Although much of the property is landscaped, there are areas I want to change to make the gardens flow better to the eye.

I hope to show some before and afters down the road.

How great is that to be so near! and a greenhouse too! You will have such fun with your sister so close, and the gardening - hope you'll still find time for quilting LOL!

Congratulations wow, you will have fun with your greenhouse.

Does she also quilt? and if not you can teach her to quilt.

Wonderful, I'm looking forward to seeing some of your pics. My husband and I virtually live outside once spring hits. There is nothing better than digging in the dirt. :-P

OH, how I would love it if my sister lived close to me. If she did, we would probably never come out of the sewing room!!

Thank you all for being there to share in my joy! I am just so happy that I could jump up and down. Well... almost.

My sister doesn't quilt and has no desire to. I have tried to get her interested, but no go. That is ok with me though. She doesn't need to be involved in quilting for us to have a good time together.

We both enjoy decorating and this house is screaming for some special bedroom decor. Subtle and classy is what I am thinking. But, we will see what she wants to do. First it will be the major cleaning of everything. She say's that I am good at that! Ha ha ha ...

I will try and get before and afters as we go.

I'm so excited for you! Can't wait to see the before/after pictures as you rebuild this house together for your sister.
