I'm not doing any vacuuming until Sears comes out with a ride-on model (credit to Roseanne)

Mine too. What about one of those lift chair thingies that could carry you up the stairs and vacuum them at the same time? Now that would be a neat invention.

That cartoon is funny, but if you need to clean, take advantage of this down time. By the time you get your machine back, you can sew to your hearts content without worrying about the house!! :-D

Ahem, are you familiar with hand work? I find the occasional hand-sewing project quite therapeutic.

I just got mine back yesterday - it was gone 4 1/2 weeks!! In the meantime I bought a featherweight - think I'm in love! But I should have used that time to cut, square, and applique. Plan ahead!

Here's another. Cooking and cleaning are for people who haven't discovered quilting yet.

Oh, I love hand work. I too find it very relaxing!
I have been doing some smaller items that needed done.
But I have a quilt top that needs to be FINISHED in 2 weeks.
and I really don't want to hand stitch that.

Looks like the DU will not have a quilt again this year to auction off...
