Good for as a momma and Great for you son, as a young soldier. My son was a young seaman for the last 9 years.

Congraatulations for you and your son. A hard road to get off of. It is good he made it. I hope some day he will be able to work for more peaceful endevors. Someday soon.

You definitely have every right to be proud and please tell him I said that I am glad he made the choices he did. You both should be rewarded---you gave him tough love and he gave you your son back. What you both did was hard and brave. Tell him to keep up the great work and thanks from me for all he is doing---he will be in my prayers. God Bless You Both

My son wasn't into anything bad, but just hadn't really found his way. He had some financial issues and joined the Army 12 years ago. He stayed in 10 years. Served in Iraq twice. It was the best thing for him. Really gave him purpose. He is now married to a wonderful girl and he is finishing up his mechanical engineering degree. I am so proud of him. I know how you feel. There is something about seeing your son in uniform - as a man - that just stirs your heart. Please thank your son for me for serving.
