I am so happy to hear this story. We had a similar thing with my stepson...he was like a lost soul...didn't know what he wanted to do and hanging out with wrong crowd. He decided to enlist, and his 5 years in did him wonders in the maturity area. Although he is still somewhat immature for his age, he has come a long long way thanks to the military.

You should be very, very proud. I have a nephew in Afganstan now.
I am so thankful and proud and love this guys so much. Can't say enough prayers for them.

I, too, would be extremely proud! Thanks for sharing your (his and yours)success story. I'm sure it will give some hope to other parents struggling with a child.

That's wonderful, glad he got out of the life he was trapped in, with bad friends, & made a new one for himself! You have right to be proud & good for you for helping him see the light!

how wonderful for your family that he turned his life around. It is a constant pain when they are on the wrong path, congrats to your family. Love is a wonderful thing.
