Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one. I'll probably be doing garage sales again Thurs. & Fri. so I hope I can be good & only buy them if they are certain ones that I really want. LOL I never spend more that 75 cents for paperbacks & $1 - $2 for hardcover. I'm running out of space to hide them. If he only knew!!!!!!!!!

I just bought books at a garage sale! I bought 15 books and paid 25 cents each! We have a local book sale every year too but the books there are a buck a piece. I have the same prob....really hate to pay what they want for them knew...even if I could!

We have a small local library. Many times I leave without a book because I've read them all! I'm first one there when the new books arrive. I have a collection of leather bound favorite classics that I love and those are the only books I buy to keep other then quilting books. I think the new e book readers are the best way for keeping books. Up to 2000 can be stored on them.

My husband bought me a Kindle this fall -and I love it. I thought I would buy so many more books - it is so convenient and easy to do- but I find that I spend as much time deciding which ones to buy as I do reading them. Every decision is important - I want just the right book to read, but don't want to go over my budget...and there are so many free books, that I only pay for the newest best sellers... I have saved tons of money and yet I always have that next book at my fingertips no matter what time of day or night...and no piles of books falling around the rooms to point out how much I have bought:)
