We've had lots of robins for about 3 or 4 weeks now but no sign of spring.....yet. Well, my daffodils survived the storms so I guess that might be a sign of better weather to come.

Well, we had hail today and snow earlier this week. We have no idea what season it is, and neither do the flowers.

I live in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. This is pretty cold territory in the winter months and we've had lots of cold for the last 3 months.
Today we saw a beautiful fat robin (our first sighting) and 4 purple finches eating berries from a vine in the backyard.
I also have sweet purple crocuses blooming.

I'm so glad your spring is in sight. I always have a few robins in my garden, I wonder if they look the same as yours. Do you know why the robin has a red breast.

Answer: a little gray bird was hopping around the cross and a drop of blood has fallen on his breast that's where he got the red from.

It'll be a long time before we see robins in Saskatchewan - has been -30 degrees C lately only -17.9 now - the chickadee's love it here thou. Lot's of snow to melt first.

Enjoy the robin.
