in case anyone else is wondering, this is def. a do-able DIY project. If you can sew a quilt, you can change a faucet. Don't feel you have to pay a plumber to do it.

Makes you feel so good when you do it yourself!

Yes she is right this is so doable!!! my husband ran out of the room because I was under the cabinet he would not have lasted 10 minutes. Yes there was a point where the old faucet fought me but it felt like when I have to rip out stitches I knew I could!!! I will say this is much easier then binding a quilt :)!!!!

Wonderful job, and the faucet is beautiful! :-)
My kids think it's so funny that I am always doing "something" round the house or yard that is "s'posed to be dad's job". I recently added plumber to my list as well after snaking 3 drains to get them unclogged... again! It sure wasn't easy and def. wasn't pretty but I felt just as proud and accomplished as if it was the last stitch in binding on a ginormous quilt!

Good job. I can't wait for our faucet to break! My husband installed it and instead of turning it on by pushing the handle BACK, you have to pull it forward... he put it in backwards. *sigh* Sometimes household chores are NOT "dad's job"... depending on the dad involved!! I'll be installing the next one!!
