An old saying: "Clean enough to be happy, dirty enough to be healthy."

Believe it or not, that is what our doctor told us when my last baby was born and my DH commented that he had a hard time keeping the dog and cat and other 2 kids away from the not so sterile baby. My darling DH was a neat freak, I went along with a lot of his ideas but I flatly refused to dip my boob in hot water before nursing the baby!!!

Our marvelous doctor said to put the baby in the front room with us, let the kids pick him up and the dog and cat cuddle up with him on the couch while the TV was blaring and other kids slammed in and out the front door. The baby was cheerful, slept when he needed to, and wasn't a fussy child.

Just ran into a picture of him as a toddler with his protector sitting in front of him, a big Dobie who didn't want my visiting brother near HIS kid.

Son is now 43, still healthy.

I have a strong idea it is also what goes INTO a body as well as what is ON it. Lack of some types of food, lack of sunlight, mercury filled vaccines, etc. And sometimes there are people born who are just sick and no reason has been found yet.
Here's hoping a cure or a big help can be found for such things.

Phyllis Diller said it best: "Housework won't kill you, but why take the chance?"

7 years and the dust doesn't get thicker. Very interesting statistic! I wonder who came up with that test?
