Well, I guess this could be true. My stepmother was the worst house keeper (plastic containers of worms in the refer, and NO fishermen in the family!), but I am a fuss budget about it. As a child, I had no allergies, but as I age, I develop more and more.

BTW, did you know that after 7 years the thickness of the dust never increases? no, I don't know this from personal experience, although DH might disagree.

Ya know my hubby may agree with your hubby..

I think I saw this on here, but anyway.
Get some get well cards, put them about and if anyone says anything tell them you've been sick.
Best not to write in the dust, it scratches the furniture just like the finish on a car....

I may agree with you. Years ago our family doctor and his wife kept his children absolutely spotliess - as tho' they had just come out of a sterilizing machine or something. Later he made the comment that the biggest mistake they made was not exposing their children to "dirt" as they caught everything that even came close to being a germ.

My DIL isn't a good housekeeper, either, and their son has bad, bad allergies and is frequently sick.

I remember when they used to tell you eating a little dirt won't kill you, and having some germs around won't kill you either!
