I have a healthy house too! Now I have proof that I need to sew/quilt not clean.

I can't think of the last time I had a cold... when I was late teens/early twenties, living in the city, it seemed I had constant colds all winter. Of course living in the country I am away from most of those germ-y people.

Boy is my house healthy! I vacuum and dust apx once a month, whether it needs it or not. Would much rather be quilting and since I live by myself....no one to complain!

LOL, like the idea of taking down notes in the dust. I have heard it said many times that we are 'too clean'. Our current habits are so drastic that our bodies do not get the practice at keeping out those germs. (That's my scientific take on it) :)

I was just telling myself, I need to clean house instead of sewing. I am going to go sew now. Heaven help me if I make my family sick after knowing what I know now. I need to help them stay healthy! Thanks for the tip!

This is so true!! People, especially children, nowadays are not exposed to enough dirt and germs. I have friends that won't let their kids play outside because they might catch something or get dirty. I really feel sorry for the kids. I'm not sure how scientific this is, but I have noticed that urban/suburban kids that live in "clean" environments are sicker than their country cousins who grow up on farms and play/work around animals, barns, etc., the supposed "dirty" places. And, don't get me started on antibacterial products....people don't realize that these kill the good ones along with the "bad" ones, and that is a huge problem.

I personally feel we'd all be better off if we cleaned less. I vow to lead this charge and will start now!!
