Thank you for sharing! I've really enjoyed all the varieties of birds that have visited my feeders and Orioles too but they didn't stay long. They want oranges! LOL. I'll try grape jelly next! Thanks to the one posting that hint! :-D ;)

With all the wild weather , maybe he got turned around. It's nice to have colorful birds, instead of sparrows.

We had one in our yard several years ago. I went right out & bought a special feeder for him. He never came back :(.

Cut an orange in half, put a regular nail in a tree, stick half the orange onto the nail, and he will enjoy one of his favorite snacks!! You can actually buy oriole feeders and the powdered orange mix that's similar to the powdered mix for hummingbirds. Enjoy this beautiful bird!!

We get one stopping by on his way to somewhere else. He's just here for a week or so and then is gone. Sure are pretty. Wish he'd stay longer.I'm originally from Baltimore and he brings back good memories.

I put out grape jelly at the first sighting. I have a pair that come back every year (I think they're the same ones) and have a family. I watch them feed their babies the grape jelly until they start to turn colors and then they have to eat on their own. As soon as the youngsters are full color, they leave.

I've been waiting, but I think it's still too cold here. Lots of goldfinches, though.

I don't think I have seen an Oriole before. I have grape jelly if one shows up. Thanks for the tip and picture. :-P

The orioles here love grape jelly (they eat tons of it) and then the hummers have the feeders for themselves.

    Good luck :-D
