I love it when I get the chance to meet an on-line acquaintance, don't you? Yesterday I met Diane K. when I stopped at her house to buy a sewing machine. While on the way to visit his daughter in Lansdale PA, my husband and I made a side trip to her place. Even though we added a couple of hours to our trip, it was well worth it. Diane and I are both working on an English Paper Piecing Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt and she gave me an idea of how to finish mine. (I didn't really want to make half blocks but figured that's what I was going to end up doing to avoid the large "blank" blocks. She's adding applique to that area and think I will also.)

After our brief visit, Jack and I continued on our way to his daughter's house. I'm so glad we decided that it would be more fun to make the trip than have her ship the machine. :-)

Thats a wonderful story. I do hope to meet a few board members someday. So what machine did you get?? Pics please. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

I bought her Bernina135 S. I have a Bernina 180 and love it, and since I've used the 135 before and was looking for a lighter machine for traveling this was perfect. I'm not home so I haven't used it yet, but hopefully will be able to do so before the weekend is over. :-)
