What a great day it was! WE met at the LQS, Emily's Closet. We had received cards advertising her sale beginning today. Latrinka and I have been emailing since I realized that she lived a few miles away from me. At first I PMed and then we began emailing. She is such a lovely person. Even though she has seen rough times in the last few months, joy just beams in her face. WE shopped, and then we shopped some more. We may just have to go back for more later this week. (Hmmmm). We plan to meet at the next guild meeting. I can hardly wait.

She really got busy and made the lottery block for the guild meeting and she also made a darlilng 10-minute block. I received pictures of those later this afternoon. Busy, busy! Even I cut all of the pieces for our Civil War block which I hope to assemble tomorrow morning. I've been lagging behind, but this new quilting friendship has put a little spark in my blues.

And I didn't mention that a long time friend of mine joined us and even she left with fabric for a quilt and a soft book. I do believe she's hooked.

She wasn't able to come to lunch with us because of some other committment, but we will do that soon. And as for pictures, I don't "do" pictures. I'm such a doe-doe. Someone with a digital camera (or a phone) has to take the picture, and then email it to me. Then I can send it. I've said before, I'm a computer cluck. I didn't think to ask Joy to bring her camera.

Joy and I did have lunch at Ruby Tuesday. Yum! That blackberry tea is to die for.

BTW, she'll meet another QBer at the guild meeting. She was the first one that I met. Another awesome person!
