i burned a bit of left over beans in my little stainless steel pot. got most of it out but the bottom was hard and black inside. I had soaked it but to no avail. then i got out the CLR and poured a bit of that in too. soaked another night. I just got all the burned black junk off easily! yea!!! got my nice pot back in good shape too.

been there done that, have gotten it out with baking soda and with oven cleaner, never thought about CLR, thanks for the idea!

CLR is great stuff-luckily we get it here in Vanuatu-I would have never thought to use it on a burnt pot, though!

I place a new dryer sheet in my pots like that with just enough water to cover the stain are burn on food and let set over night and just wipe it out the next day.

When I used the powered dish washer soap I used to sprinkle it on a burned pot and it worked really well. Don't know if the gel type would.

Thanks,I have a pot that looks like that now. Have used powdered detergent, baking soda...still haven't been able to get it all. Will pick up some CLR when I shop this week!
