CJ, Welcome!

I guess there was more than just the Iditarod going on downtown yesterday. TAPS was there with 100 widows. Brought them up from the states for a trip to Alaska, took them skiing and snowboarding to Aleyeska, a bunch of Rondy events, including the Miner and Trappers' Ball, makeovers yesterday, home today. I guess it was about a week's worth of fun stuff from some very grieving women. Here's the link to
that story.

That was pretty nice for them !! I could use a mothers weekend at Alyeska. Are you involved in quilting here? I have been looking for a group to meet with every few weeks. Would love to get one of those collaborative quilt things going on. Have you done anything like that up here?

I was born in Cook Minnesota and lots of people had sled dogs. My family had a friend and she went every year. I don't remember if she just took dogs or if she ran the whole thing. but i always will remember one of her dogs George. he was the only one that you could pet.

WOW!! Thanks so much for sharing the photos. Have always wanted to see Alaska. After the winter we have had in Texas this year, it will take me a few months for my feet to warm up, so pictures of Alaska will do quite nicely.
