Not just AIDS. The incidence of STI's among the post-menopausal croud is skyrocketing. It seems that once people don't have to worry about offspring, they lose a significant amount of intelligence. (Sorry, backing off the rant. I've given the STI lecture to too many young people. You would think that you get wiser as you age.)

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta. Unfortunately, some people don't understand retroviruses and other diseases. I have worked with people who have been involved in researching several different diseases (not just AIDS). Statistically, the greatest increase in certain types of AIDS (there are varient strains and they mutate frequently) is in females. There are lots of theories but most likely due to less emphasis on prevention for this demographic. Other STI's aren't new, they just don't make the news very often because it isn't very entertaining.
I have edited some of the very "dry" research aka technically important but can be really dull reading. There is a lot of great information for public view in several places. PM me if you'd like me to send some suggestions. I can't release research that wasn't mine to give without permission.

Every few months, out tv stations run a report about it here in Florida. Now that Viagra has replaced "One-a-Day" vitamins, some communities ae having prostitution problems where it would have been thought impossible 25 years ago.
