Default I'm having withdrawal!

I've been watching my grands for 3 weeks now - we have had a lot of fun - and have done a lot of running going to swimming, baseball, volleyball camp, and the library. They have done some baking, some sewing and have helped around the house. Tomorrow will be their last day here. While I will miss them a lot I'm anxious to get back to my sewing. Every post I have read has reminded me of an unfinished project I could/should be working on. It is wonderful to be creating such wonderful memories. At least when I'm in a rocker in the nursing home and have a big smile on my face everyone will know I'm thinking about all the fun I've had with them!

I know exactly what you are saying. I told my grandson that last night. He has been here for 3 1/2 wks. I told him I was going to miss him when he goes home on Sat. He said, it's alright, I'll come back. He's 4 and pappy is his best friend. Not sure where I'm at in the chain.lol

Good for you to spend time with your Grands. My last one is going on 11 and he comes to work with his Mom, so I have been lucky to be able to spend lots of time with him. I sew on the weekends and evenings.

I spent so much time with my grandparents and I adored them. They taught me so many wonderful things. I still strive to be like them.

Today was the last day with the kids. We sewed together for a couple of hours before going to volleyball camp and shopping for my Mom. The 11 year old is making a bag called "Classmate" she wants to use it for school. I'm hoping she will get done in time to enter it in the fair. The little one asked who was going to water my plants and take care of the new kitty. It has been wonderful!! I'm sure I won't know what to do with myself when they don't show up in the morning!
