Yes you can quit. You have to be ready...maybe this will help.... you constantly have to think about quitting, about the stinking smell in your clothes and your hair, about the cost of the darn things, about what it is doing to your health and those around you, and hopefully you are not smoking inside as the smoke turns everything yellowish brown, and also that it is socially unacceptable these days.

Congratulations! September 19, 1995 here. Fifteen years, yahoo! I carry an extra 50 pounds around, but figure that is the lesser of two evils.

Hubby and I quit 30, years ago[ cold turkey] boy what a time.

Now I can't stand the smell of cigarettes, especially on little
babies. Hope the parents realize what they are doing to their kids. Didn't know at the time how badly cigarettes made a person smell, and oooooo the money you do save!!!!!!!

CONGRATS :-D :-D :-D :-D

I just quit on Aug. 31,2010. Most of it is keeping my hands busy & suckers. Already gained a little weight but that goes along with it I guess. It is hard but worth it!
