Inspector Morse\Inspector Lewis\Endeavour
I have been taking it easy for awhile...(knee surgery).....so lots of TV. DH & I found first Inspector Lewis and then Endeavour on our PBS station. They are both based on the old Inspector Morse series so we started borrowing Inspector Morse from the library. Inspector Morse started in the late 80's. It has been fun to see old detective stuff and we love lots of TV from England. The Endeavour series is the newest, but it is a "pre-quell" and is set in the 60's and is Morse as a young man. Fun to watch them solve crimes with relatively old school ways. And the story is set in Oxford so GREAT scenery!!!
Anyone else seen these?

I agree! Love the British mysteries and other series! Must be my whole English heritage. If you can, there is also a new series called "Vera" about a middle aged female "chief" ? of detectives. So great to have these shows!

We love the Lewis series and Endeavor series. Will have to look into Morse. We've visited Oxford, England twice and it is just as charming as on the show. Just a dangerous place to live with all those "murders". Lol.

Kavanagh, QC is also another good one from England, which also stars John Thaw. The P.D. James series was also a good watch. We get re - runs of Morse, lewis, Frost, Dalgleish, Vera, Midsomer etc. all the time. However, my very best favourite is Waking the Dead.

A newer one with a woman chief is "Blue Murder" - worth a look.
