That was true in my case. I am 55 years old and had to have my Thyroid removed when I was 17 due to an auto-immune disease called "Hashimotos". I remember the doctor taking a very careful look at my eyebrows when he examined me. I had hairs everywhere! They even grew down onto my eyelids. Try plucking those without crying! I also have diabetes, which is linked to Thyroid issues. The Diabetes has caused poor circulation in my feet and lower legs so I have no hair on my toes and lower legs and just a little right under my knee.

My hair does not go past the pencil. And I do have hypothyroidism. But I also have diabetes and high blood pressure and the three go hand in hand.

wow, 17 is young! did the diabetes show up in your 50's or come at the same time as your thyroid issue? is the auto immune problem "cured" with thyroid removal? how is your day to day?
