I found one but not sure where. i couldn't find it in my Amazon orders. i had an old one and gave it away. then found I wouldn't be hanging up my ironing board as planned and must have a caddy/rest on the end after all. I did find one so keep searching. use iron rest or iron caddy or iron rest caddy. one is out there!

I love mine, gives me a little more room to press with even though I made myself a board to go over my regular ironing board. Its now 24 x 48 but you can always use more so the iron rest gives a place for my iron when I'm not using it or I'm rearranging my blocks to be pressed.

Try Vermont Country Store. They have tons of things. My DH wanted pants stretchers and that is where I found them.

I found a wonderful iron shaped silicone mat that has little nubs for the iron to rest on even when it is hot. It lives on it’s little mat. That way, hot or cold, I do not have to worry about my huge dog or cats knocking it off onto themselves or worse. Where my ironing board lives (always up), there was no room for an iron holder rack, so I tried this idea, and I love it. The silicone nubs are starting to get a little darker on the tips, but what do you expect after twelve years? Lol.
I think I got it at a big box store.

I need one that attaches to the end of the ironing board. Mats that just rest on the board are too easy to knock the iron off. I need one that has a depression to fit the iron into. I've tried Etsy, Nancy's, Annies, Amazon, Vermont Country Store and a couple of other places. Thanks for all your ideas.
