I have always been a nightowl and since I've retired have found myself more and more staying up all night, going to bed around 5 am, getting up around noon and starting all over again - we need to start a nightowl section for those of us who can't sleep - love the peace and quiet of the night - can get so much work done on my various projects - but I'm going to have to change and soon - my DD will be going back to work the middle of April and DH and I will be babysitting our new GS. (sigh) what we sacrifice for our children :)

Been there, done that. I get so involved with my quilting and needlework, that time flies.

I was awake all night, almost, with a really big thunderstorm last night. It's 8:17 PM and I'm ready for sleep.....

In our house the routine was always for me to stay up with the babies and my husband got up with them early in the morning. So I got on that cycle....I go through bouts of insomnia as well and have since I was in high school.

I can function pretty well on only 5 hours sleep but less than that and I crash around mid day.

What is funny is with as quiet as the house is during the day - I still get more done at night when everyone is asleep - guess its my bodies cycle used to doing work at night or something!

oh my.. me too.. I seem to hardly ever sleep more than just a few hours.. Could be that more water would help.. but if I drank 2 glasses straight down I think I'd just be up every 30 mintues until the 3 glasses were given back! Who knows, but I'll try it. I know one thing, 2 glasses of water are better than drugs, but maybe 2 glasses of wine might do the trick better... or quicker! Just kidding there.. I'd be on the floor passed out, not in bed asleep!

Apnea..could be a serious thing. Have you had it checked?
Thanks for noticing that....yes, have the sleep study re-scheduled after postponing first one due to weather. Also planning a massage and chiro adjustment later this week.
