The smoke damage would ruin the quilt anyway, so I would say let it go. That's why I have insurance. I'd rather have the photo albums....I can buy more machines and make more quilts.

Hmmmmmmm...most likely my featherweight...but the treadles are precious to me too.
I only have one quilt..it's a wallhanging that I made in 93 for my mother...I gotta get busy and make one for us! :)

The game answer - My Elna SU that has produced so many memories - including seven wedding dresses. The Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt that my grandmother made for me all by hand.

The real answer - my pictures. I'd have the dogs with me. The rest can be replaced.

Since it's a game, I would have to pick my Ellisimo and my fish quilt because I enjoyed doing it (need to post a pic sometime I guess!)

I am sure none of us here would actually choose any Things over a person or pet! In reality, my husband and I have made plans on how to get our three birds, three cats and two dogs out with a minimum of effort! I just hope and pray it never happens to any of us!

i know it's just a game but i have to give an honest answer.

no way i'd ask them to go back in for any reason except to rescue my dog if i hadn't been able to get her out myself. and i would only ask them if they wouldn't let me go back in myself to look for her.

I'll play. I would tell him to grab the old Kenmore my dil gave me and the ship quilt I made for my son.

Hahahaha!

Yes it is just a game with rules and I'll play nice ...

My grandmother-in-law's featherweight and the first quilt I made because I use it 3 seasons of the year. Only sentimental value on both.

For those with pictures that are irreplaceable - Have you thought of making duplicates and putting the originals in a safe place?
