I hear you. I had to go on a "quilting" diet. It's killing me!

Yes. A number of years ago I was completely out of control. I impulsively and compulsively shopped. I used everything, but spent WAY too much. So, I cancelled all my magazines and catalogs. I put myself on an allowance. Every payday I receive a set amount of cash. That is my spending/mad money. Seeing it (rather than using checks or debit cards) really helped me think about each purchase. Now I am able to have magazines and catalogs without being tempted to spend too much.

I can totally relate. It is so easy to buy it, but something altogether different in sewing it together. I have finally stopped buying fabric unless I have a specific plan for it. And if I go to shows with friends and they start to just "buy" then I ask them what and when are they going to use it. I always wait until I am ready to leave and then go back if I really want it. It was better than not going at all.

What gets me the most, is I can't find the time to sew the things I want to do, or spend time in my sewing room. I got to reverse it.

Oh, yeah, you've got the Disease!! I'm so busy buying fabric, notions and machines, that I don't sit down and sew. :)
