AWWWWW Congrats. That is wonderful. I can't wait for grand babies. I just helped my best friend make a quilt for her first grand daughter born in Dec. Kinda made me sad too.

Oh, congratulations, Machel!!!! My first grandchild, Sarah Elizabeth, was born August 12, 2008. I can tell you now, you'll never see baby clothes (OMG, they are so cute!), toys, quilts....ANYTHING the same again. Sarah is the absolute joy of my life. It's hard to imagine so much love fitting into this old heart, and that a little one's presence can change the world as much as she has. I am sincerely thrilled for you! Go, Grandma!!!!

Oh, what fun Machel! I began crocheting an afghan as soon as I found out my first and only blood granddaughter was coming. The kids wouldn't tell me girl or boy so I made two crocheted ribbons to weave through it. I know how wonderful that feeling is. I made her two quilts, sleepers, bibs, new outfits after she was born. Oh what fun I had.

Enjoy the time and the shopping! It's the best feeling in the world!
    Hugs,
    Sharon

Oh my goodness--what fun!! What pattern are you planning? Won't she need a new quilt every six months as she grows?
    :D
I can't wait till it's my turn--but it'd better be a few more years.

Thanks everybody  , I am truly excited and not sure what pattern to use. All I can think is pink. I am sure that I will come up with a few ideas and different colors.

As for buying clothes it has been a while and they grow so fast. Not too many in the 0-3 months some in the 3 - 6 months and some in the 6 - 9 months.so far the baby is only 13oz. and she is half way. Now I just need to know how big the baby is going to be at birth. Just have to wait and see.
