I've been sewing but not a quilt

Hi..I made this little dress and matching frilly pants for my little 5 month old granddaughter. I was pleased with how it turned out and so was her Mum :

Oh, so adorable. I can remember sewing for my little girl when she was small. She's 39now and I sew for my granddaughters, but not as much as I sewed for her.

Okay, so far the closest I've gotten to a grandchild is renting one or so of my friends' grandchildren when I get an urge to go to the zoo for the day. My question is, "Is there anything like a 'Grandmother's Hope Chest?'" Pink, blue, yellow, green, etc. - I could sew little kid stuff and when one of my friends comes up with that "I'm gonna be a grandma again!" gleam in her eye, I'd be ready. And I'd be really ready in case I happened to be the one with the gleam.

    In the meantime, Pat

My 'girls' keep having those pesky boys. LOL Maybe some day. In the mean time, I try to find inventive ways to 'dress' the guys.
