Bad snow and ice storms, power outages, and extreme cold. Just a heads up to get prepared to stay warm!

My cats have already begun to get really thick and long furry coats. That is rather scarry because we live in the desert area of Ca. lol

Given that we're getting snow at least two weeks earlier this year, I have to agree, it's going to be long hard winter. Not looking forward to it, that's for sure. They're talking 4-6" on Saturday evening for southern NH and most of the region. boo hoo!!! glad I have heater kitties!

Our weather man said last night that he thinks it will be a rerun of last year. For us that means still dry.

I couldn't believe it when I was driving home from quilting class last night. It was freakin' snowing out. We're expected to get another 3-6 on Saturday night with a big Nor'easter coming through Connecticut. I have a class on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. I hope I don't have any problems getting home.

As part of that snow belt, and hoping to get to my LQS on Saturday, I share your angst!! Good luck to both of us.

Our local weatherman has said this will be Year #2 of La Nina and that the amount of snow and cold will be as bad, or even a little worse, than last winter. I'm not looking forward to it at all.

I hate snow...I am 61 yrs young, I hate having to shovel a big driveway, 2 wheelchair ramps, lots of sidewalks, 2 huge cement pads, etc., but I have found that every problem has its price... if you worry too much about it ahead of time, you pay double...so, while I will start getting prepared for snow...it's going to come so I might as well be ready for it... I won't let it rob the time of my todays and tomorrows...but, I still hate snow...Naomi
