Maybe the cows have come to see who all these "silly" people are who have stopped in the middle of the road to play music. Some humans never give animals credit for their intelligence.

My dad always had the radio on while milking the cows; they do enjoy music.

I have heard a lot of our Vermont farmers play Public Radio music, all classical, in their barns to increase milk production. Happy, relaxed cows yield more milk. Maybe jazz does the same thing.
