I called myself Juma to my oldest grandson, When he started to talk it came out Numa. It stuck and now half the people I know call me Numa. I love it!

When I moved to Hawaii, my smart-aleck sister, instead of calling me something like hulagirl, opted for hulahoop instead and the rest is history.

Mine used to be the name of a quilt shop we'd pass by when traveling to my MIL's house. The shop is closed now (unfortunately). I always loved the name so I adopted it. :)

I've been BOBBY'S GIRL for 40 plus years, and
I'm still faithful and very thankful.

Those of you who were teenagers in the 1960's will recognize these lyrics sung by Marcie Blaine.

"I want to be Bobby's girl
I want to be Bobby's girl
That's the most important thing to me...

And if I was Bobby's girl
If I was Bobby's girl
What a faithful, thankful girl I'd be."

i love to sew ... so ... sew it seams (instead of so it seems) just came to mind several years ago when i started giving quillows and table toppers for charity auctions in my local area. that is how i would label my gift. my given name is sandra (which was what my grandmother always called me) but all my friends call me sandie (spelled with an "ie" instead of a "y")
