Kawasaki Disease

I heard of this 25 or so yrs ago. I think a co-worker's child had it. I also think I read somewhere to keep children away from newly shampooed carpets. They are closer to the floor and something (must be the chemicals Jamiestitcher wrote about)affects them and they get it.

didn't one of the movie stars have it? or one of thier kids?
i remember the info on the carpets, new carpets and fumes, and dry cleaner items being dangerous.especially quilts, blankets that needed to be dry cleaned. it was so long ago when i first heard of it.
i am so sorry ..don't know what else to say..in my thoughts and prayers..

So sorry this has happened, but how very grateful that she in in a children's hospital. My experience (DGD was born with cancer in one eye)is that when she is released from the hospital her local doctor will work closely with the hospital with treatment, check-ups etc, and of course she will go back to the hospital for check-ups - so there should be no un-noticed flare-ups or serious side effects. Everything should be found in time to be taken care of while it can be a minor problem. Kids heal so quickly. Of course the rest of family may need to be put on medicine to calm them down. Just place your trust in the Lord.
