I think you're right. Now let's hope it's not immortalized in a high school graduation photo.

I graduated in 1974 and looking at my yearbook -- 95% of the girls and 50% of the boys had the same hairdo - long, straight, parted in the middle. Good times.

Oh ptquilts - what I wouldn't have given for straight hair parted in the middle. But mine had big waves. But wait! Farah Fawcett came along and my hair was now in style! )

Mine is still that way. It's so long it gets caught in the waistband of my jeans. Although I do have the "Bride of Frankstien" gray streak going on also....lol

My older brother, Terry had the side part and a huge mass of hair on one side......haha! Now he wears it short for work as a over the road truck driver, something like 30 years so far.

I trim my husband's beard for him. It goes almost to his navel (looks like ZZtop style). I braid it before he goes out to his workshop. He clips it to his collar so it doesn't get caught up in a tool. He does his hair the same way, braided and clipped to his collar.

Mine was wavy too!! DH graduated in 1957, all the girls in his class yearbook looked like someone's mom - dark lipstick, 17 going on 35.

No matter how chic we think we may look, our grandkids are going to look at the old pictures and laugh their butts off.
