Default lace question

Can you successfully dye lace? Can't find colors I need and assuming it can only be cotton if it can be dyed?

Yes....but all laces are not created equal. Some take dye really well, some don't. Synthetic laces don't dye well. I have successfully dyed older lace. Older doilies, vintage lace hankies, stuff like that.

They do make a die for polyester, Rit and Idye both have products that will work.

I dyed a polyester dress, it came out beautiful. I used dye from here . https://www.dharmatrading.com/dyes/ I haven't tried lace dying.

Thank you. I think I will just make do with what I have, but thanks for input; helped me make up my mind.
