Default Laser Hair Removal

Going for my first treatment today. Anyone else have this done? What were your results? Thanks!

I looked into it several years ago. But I was told it does not work on Red hair. I am a natural red head.

I was told it is something to do with the wavelength of the laser and pigment in the hair.

I have not checked again to see if that is still true.

I did have my brows threaded this summer. Wow what a great way to shape my brows, much better than waxing or tweezing.

My daughter is interested in this. I hope you will share your thoughts once it's done.

To thill wish I had known about it not working on red hair I spent a fortune going about every 6 weeks .it is just as bad know as before, it is supposed to reduce the hairs but I never had that also they are very sharp on time or was it how many they remove. Just little hint you will be slightly pink when you come out I usually have little concealer put on.

My DD, not a redhead, had the treatments for her legs and underarms. She said the new way works great, whatever the new way is.

OK, I survived. Here's the scoop. The hair has to be dark because the laser light follows the dark hair shaft down to the root and kills the root. I had my upper lip, chin, and neck done. The upper lip hurt a little, like a pin prick we've all done a million times. I didn't feel the chin or neck at all. Different hairs grow in different cycles so I'll be going back in 6 weeks. You have to have some stubble to have this done, and you can't have been in the sun for 2 weeks, or at least you have to be using sunscreen regularly. I'm going to have my legs done, too.

Had it done and love it but now I only have gray ones. Doesn't work on gray. Have to go to a electrolist for that.

Tothill, Red heads are always thought of as having a lower tolerance to pain.
