    Take it back!

LOL maybe it's the smell of the new bed bug repellent.

To get rid of a skunk odor, dog got sprayed, we used one box of baking soda, one bottle of hydrogen peroxide, one gallon of water with a squirt of dish soap. And it worked for the skunk odor.

When my 1st DH was Longline fishing in NC, an old codger told me one day to use Colgate toothpaste when I washed his 2 week old fishy smelling clothes. It's the sodium laurel sulfate in the toothpaste that knocks out the stink. I just disolved half a tube in a cup of water and poured it into the LAUNDRAMAT washer. Worked like a charm.
Since you're taking the bedspread back you don't need this info but thought I'd add it for future reference. Might have worked.
    Ellen......I'm gonna go play now
