crocheting and knitting, they have a class.
I meant to say no sewing on the machine. we have a class for that too.
they want me to fill in a grey area, and give me tons of parameters.
they have to walk away with completed project in on 1 1/2-2 hr. session.
Can't compete with other preexisting classes, easy enough for the average,
non crafter to make. we are trying to get more people into crafts. also, a lot
of these people want to try something new, so it has to be easy. also, now
the worst part, it has to be recycled. so, i'm doing a denim/jeans covered journal,
jeans fabs again, a pillow, all glued, A painted cigar box with beachy shells on it.
a necklace made of a scallop shell and pearls. Maybe an ankle bracelet with
macramé. With shells and beads. something with shrinkydinks. they are made of
recycled plastic muffin containers. a gnome, decoupage plate for winter/cookies.
Now i'm stuck. I need my plan for the rest of the year.

Check out old videos on YouTube of Aileen's Creative Living - I used to tape it years ago and tried making some of their crafts. Since I was a co-leader for a Girl Scout troop back in the mid 90's it was a good resource for craft ideas. Do you have any budget?

One that my girl scouts loved to make was a note/recipe holder. We bought the wood piece that was already cut and finished, we added stickers, gems, etc. to decorate the item. Then glued a clothes pin on(you could hot glue it or already have it glued in place) which is to hold onto the note/recipe. And we had strips of the magnets you cut to size and paste/stick on the back so it can hang on a refrigerator. We also had them make picture frames too in a similar fashion.

The recycling part can be a bit of a challenge but if you find some supplies at a thrift store - that's close to recycling. We used old film cans and made pin cushions using old embroidery hoops to keep the fabric in place.

quilting candy. thank you so much for your input. I have to act as if they were girl scouts. all abilities will be there.
I was planning on making the not holder. recycled coasters from Outback, I got them already. ribbons on the top of
a paper clamp, thru the hole, hot glue it on, add post it's it's done. i'll try looking there. thanks for the idea.
